Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer famous for his unique mix of soul gospel jazz R&B and R&B. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway as well as at the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine Her real name is Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta however, she comes in Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing as well as playing the piano at church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B musical scene. Her voice was also featured on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005 she took on the role of the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her to serve as the director of the choral group for this theatrical production. Sunshine was recognized nationally for her daily shows in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
